Cafe review: Cafe Cappuccino, Puerto Portals, Majorca

NB. There are a few branches of Cappuccino in Majorca, we also went to the one situated in the shopping district of Palma (see earlier blog post)

What's its Curbappeal:
- huge outdoor pavement seating area overlooking the beautiful yachts in Puerto Portals, great spot for people watching
- indoors you'll find the signature Cafe Cappuccino furnishings of casual wicker chairs set round small round grey marble tables
- small study-styled reading area with large comfy sofas

Crowd: largely older European

Food & drink rating: we had a cous cous salad (tasty, moist & large portion) & sushi tuna rolls (v nice)....a repeat of the food from the other day...as it was so tasty. We washed that down with a couple of glasses of rose cava

The bill: pricey but food quality is good & the cafe has a lovely atmosphere with a great central setting within Puerto Portals

What's it's Curbappeal?
- outdoor terrace overlooking the yachts in the harbour
- exclusive feel; you get to the restaurant having being escorted by staff to a private glass lift that takes you up into the restaurant
- delicious fresh fish; there's no menu here - the waiter shows you the catch of the day & let's you pick your feast
- huge wine list
- atmospheric & quirky Flanigan bar downstairs (chairs & model planes hang from the ceiling) to have a pre or post dinner drink

Around town: Puerto Portals, Majorca

Whilst staying at the Maricel hotel we popped into the pretty Puerto Portals a few times, it's just c5mins away by car. It has some nice restaurants, cafes & bars and its lovely to take a stroll by the yachts. You'll also find a lovely sandy beach with turquoise blue waters just a few mins walk out of Puerto Portals.

- end corner location along the Puerto Portals 'strip' means stunning views across the yachts from most tables
