Cool hangout: Petit Ermitage, Private Rooftop Club, Los Angeles, California

 What’s so cool, Curbappeal?
- A very exclusive ‘private club’ in LA: This hotel is where young film and music stars stay when they want to relax in a low-key, residential, environment. Not widely known outside the media industry. During our stay at the hotel, lounging by the pool, we saw Mario Testino’s number two/stylist sashaying back-and-forth with her crew, a UK girl pop group sat on the loungers next to us, and we chatted to an uber-cool UK film crew covering a local music event.
- Dining at the restaurant feels a bit like you’re in a whimsical French country cottage garden. Yet the Hollywood Hills are clearly in view from this roof-deck: a slightly surreal experience, but a good one!
- Delicious Mediterranean dishes: the lamb tagine in the photo below was melt-in-your-mouth good.
As you’ll see by our last photo, the outside fireplaces are heavenly to snuggle up next to. This was our first night so, jetlagged, I succumbed to the warmth of the fire…
      - The only slight disappointment was the rooms – they don’t look anywhere near as good, or as nicely appointed as the roof-deck, so we’d suggest staying somewhere else, and see if you can book a table at the restaurant…

Restaurant Review: Gordon Ramsay at the London West Hollywood, Los Angeles, California

What’s the curbappeal?
- The effortless glamour: think gold-gilded mirrors, curvaceous leather banquets in relaxed pinks and blues, club chairs, marble flooring and sparkling silverware….

Curbappeal visited for a brunch-time meeting and had the extremely decadent Eggs Benedict with Dungeness crab on a brioche roll, smothered in a heavenly hollandaise sauce. We’ll be back…

Note: dress to impress - during our stay we noticed it attracted a particularly chic crowd

With Love,
Ms Curbappeal x

Cool stuff: Eden Rock, St Barths, French West Indies, Caribbean

What's the fuss about, Curbappeal?
- Hotel Eden Rock is offering the ability to produce your own music album
- in partnership with the worlds most award-winning music studio, Ocean Way Recording of Hollywood, guests staying in Villa Rockstar have the use of a professional recording studio and (check this out for curbappeal) its Neve music mixing console is the same one used by John Lennon to record Imagine...

(web)sites that inspire us – Medlar (restaurant), Chelsea, London

What's the Curbappeal?
- fresh, contemporary and fun interior design. Spread across a number of rooms, the interior includes: green contemporary button-back banquette's, floor-to-ceiling 'distressed' mirrors, mid-century modern chairs and lime-green patterned wallpaper.
- the exterior looks just as stunning: a grand Victorian property painted in dove grey (very on-trend). Lovely pavement terrace with wraparound iron balustrade
- given it's location, on the frightfully-posh Kings Road, it'll attract a monied, stylish, crowd. We know it's a regular haunt of Christopher Bailey, Chief Creative Officer of fashion house, Burberry.
- the established food critics have provided excellent reviews
