Hotel Review: Amanruya, Bodrum Peninsula, Turkey - 16th July 2012

Note: we didn't stay overnight, this review is based on a show round & (very long) lunch

It's Curbappeal:
- its unique; like a rambling old Ottoman village set amongst pine trees with a great feeling of space
- very tranquil; no music in public areas and hushed tones from other guests
- to-die-for beach club set amongst a clearing in the woods

Style rating: calming combination of high-end Turkish & Indonesian design

Crowd: wealthy. Those who highly value space, privacy and tranquility

Cuisine: 3 menus (Western, Turkish & Indonesian) focus on wholesome comfort food. Choice of numerous dining rooms; same menu but different views

Food rating: we only had lunch (and went for the Turkish option) but this was lovely and washed down with a liberal dose of fine Turkish white wine

The bill: Room - you get what you pay for. Food - surprisingly reasonable

Recommended: highly - if you want a 'get away from it all' experience in the height of zen-like luxury
