What’s the curbappeal?
A ‘window on LA life’: come here to watch the scriptwriters
and Hollywood directors order iced tea and talk about future films. You’ll see
the odd actor or famous designer too. I did but could just have been lucky…
I came for breakfast, ordered copious amounts of coffee and the
seasonal fruit and berry plate, with Tahitian vanilla-infused Greek yogurt and
pound cake: fresh, moist and lovely
…I did mull over the ‘Pink Palace’ (the name
caught my eye!): smoked salmon with super soft scrambled eggs; lemon ricotta
pancakes and a side of sliced fruits and berries – sounds yum.
This place is an LA institution: you have to go
when in town. Even if it’s just for iced tea…lots of locals do just that…
Oh, and you must sit outside on
the patio…it’s old school in terms of décor, but the grounds are lovely and its
very atmospheric
