Around town : Seville, Spain

A few of my favourite photos from my four night stay in Seville.

The city, as seen from the Triana district on the south bank.

Beautiful tree lined streets.

At hotel Palacio de Villapanes.

View of the Cathedral from the rooftop of Palacio de Villapanes hotel.

'Mushroom' architectural structure.

Delicious tapas at Vineria San Telmo.

Plaza de Espana.

Gardens of Alcazar.

Another pretty street in the Old Town.

Plaza de Espana.

Yummy tapas at Catalina.

The Cathedral.

Much needed frozen yoghurt to cool down.

View from our hotel room at Palacio de Villapanes.

A pretty little church in the Old Town.

Hotel : Palacio de Villapanes (capturing the interior design), Seville, Spain

Spanish tradition captured in paintings around the hotel.

The use of different materials helps bring out the features of the hotel; an old palce with a modern twist.

Moorish but modern touch to the library.

Beautiful tiled patio.

Grand corridors on level one.

Crest over the grand central staircase.

Interior tiled floors.

Many old features of the palace remain...

Ultra modern white dining room felt very Ibizan. Lovely calming atmosphere.

Stained glass windows.

The beautiful central courtyard.

Grand entrance.

Time of stay: May 2014.
