Around town: Puerto Portals, Majorca

Whilst staying at the Maricel hotel we popped into the pretty Puerto Portals a few times, it's just c5mins away by car. It has some nice restaurants, cafes & bars and its lovely to take a stroll by the yachts. You'll also find a lovely sandy beach with turquoise blue waters just a few mins walk out of Puerto Portals.

Restaurant review: Cecconi's, Mayfair, London

What's the curbappeal?
- its old school, but glamourous : first established in 1978 by Enzo Cecconi, Manager of the Cipriani hotel in Venice, it's now part of the uber-hip Soho House Group. The interior harks back to a more decadent era: think 1920's style lamps and club chairs and elegantly distressed mirrors.
- permanently buzzy environment : a stalwart for the jet-set
- the food: Northern-Italian. And very good indeed.

Recommended.

With Love,
Ms. Curbappeal x

- rooftop terrace offering amazing views across the yachts in the harbour
- comfy colourful sofa style seating
- bit of a haven from some of the trasher places nearby (you're just far enough away to escape the karaoke bar...)

Restaurant review: Tahini, Puerto Portals, Majorca

What's it's Curbappeal?:
- totally unique design, especially for this relatively traditional area... main restaurant with glasses teahouses (dining areas) situated in the small Japanese courtyard garden
- amazing sound system, with deep dish music creating a v chilled vibe
- delicious food
- watch the sushi chefs at work in the main restaurant
- minimalist but welcoming decor using stylish furnishings (eg high end lime green upholstered chairs) & funky artwork

Cafe/bar review: San Anton (rooftop bar) Madrid, Spain

Whats its Curbappeal:
- wrap around rooftop terrace - great sun trap to soak up some Spring sunshine
- cool decor (little lanterns, colourful art displays (eg largely brightly coloured pig statues) & butterfly artwork on the glass walls)
- bustling atmosphere

Crowd: quite cool mid 20s-late 30s locals

Food & drink rating: food looked delicious but we didn't have a reservation so only had a drink - we definitely want to come back for some food

The bill: ok
