Dinner - Pizarro

What's the curbappeal?
- moody, low-wattage, vibe
- gorgeous view of a Victorian church through the picture windows
- hipster central
- great Spanish food: I had the 'milk fed leg of Castilian lamb', expensive but worth it!

With love,
Ms. C

Restaurant : Riding House Cafe, London, UK

I went here for brunch with friends on a Saturday in April. Being a BIG pancake fan I was very excited to see Buttermilk Pancakes on the menu.  Unfortunately they were dire (dry and cold) and I had to send them back. Second plate of pancakes much tastier.

My mixed experience with the food quality and the EXTREMELY slow service would make me think again about returning here.

1st attempt - dry, cold and hard pancakes.

2nd attempt - light and fluffy - much tastier.

Good wide choice for brunch menu.

Cappuccino - looked good but was the weakest coffee ever - yawned away during and after drinking it! So did my friends.

Time of visit: April 2014.

Coffee shop : The Fields Below, Kentish Town, London

I stopped by for a cappuccino (was pretty good). More of a take-out than a 'dine in' cafe, which created a bit of an odd atmosphere. Located right by Kentish Town West overground station, this tiny hipster cafe seemed by far the nicest in the area.

Time of visit: Lunchtime on Friday, May 2014.

Slate coffee shop, Shoreditch, London, UK

Cappuccino presented on a slate...

Old school benches and desks.

Time of visit: Tuesday mid morning in March 2014.

Coffee and cake at The Ace Hotel, Shoreditch, London

Banana and peanut butter cake (I found it way too sweet and sickly).

Time of visit: Tuesday afternoon in March, 2014.

A day at the Bulgari spa, Knightsbridge, London, UK

I booked the Bulgari Break package, which included use of the spa facilities, and two treatments (facial and body massage). A most indulgent (£290), but fantastically relaxing way to spend a day in Knightsbridge. The Bulgari is one of my favourite and lavish spa's in London.

Stunning indoor pool area, I was lucky to have it to myself for the majority of time.

Drinks poolside.

Private cabanas.

Time of visit: Wednesday in March 2014.
