Restaurant review: Gonca, Torba, Bodrum Peninsula, Turkey. Dinner: Saturday 14th July 2012

What's the Curbappeal?
- relaxed setting on the beach & right by the sea - you can almost feel the water lapping up around your feet
- colourful seating; bright red & blue wooden chairs contrasts beautifully against the golden sand & the bright turquoise sea
- little lanterns hanging between the pine trees transform the restaurant into a romantic dining spot in the evening

Crowd: all types; groups, couples & families

Cuisine: fresh seafood

Food rating: amazing. Fish tasted so fresh, some of best fish we've ever had

The bill: when we sat down we weren't given a menu, instead we were shown the fish available & pointed to what we fancied (this seemed to be the norm at fish restaurants around here). Given the amazing quality, we thought we might get stung with a huge bill, but this wasn't the case, we'd have gladly paid more for this divine food & the setting

Recommended: Most definitely. Gonca is THE fish restaurant to dine at in Torba. Staying in Torba & not dining here would be a disaster!

With Love,

Hotel Review: Kuum Hotel, Golturkbuku, Bodrum Peninsula, Turkey: July 2012

What's the Curbappeal?
- 'Tracy Island' for beautiful people
- AMAZING sea views from rooms of bay, yachts & clear Aegean sea
- Very cool 'beach club' - people arriving on speed boats & jet skis from their yachts

Cuisine: we ate at both the Italian & fish restaurants. Both have romantic settings right by the sea. Excellent food.

Our room: 12. Amazing views. Decent sized terrace. Funky colourful mid-century modern chairs. Glass partition between bathroom & bedroom allowing stunning sea view from the shower

Bill: little bit ouch but definitely worth it

Recommended: most definitely

Hotel Review: Casa dell' Arte Residence, Torba, Bodrum Peninsula,Turkey. July 2012

It's Curbappeal:
- Feeling of an exclusive personal villa with your own staff
- Unique combination of art gallery & hotel
- Picture perfect location

Crowd: monied.

Food rating: very good

Our room: Virgo. Large, very quiet & view over the pool.

The bill: pricey but boy is it worth it

Recommended: most definitely. Make sure if you want a more exclusive break you choose 'The Residence' not 'The Luxury Family Resort' - the latter is in a separate building next door & whilst it's still v nice its aimed at families (hence the name!) & definitely not as exclusive as The Residence
