- gorgeous formal and informal gardens
- lovely cafe, with sunny terrace in the gardens

Event review: Castle Howard Proms Spectacular, York, UK - 18 August 2012

It's Curbappeal:
- enchanting location to host a concert (think beautiful rolling countryside within the grounds of a quintessentially English aristocratic estate)
- this years participation of the Rolls Royce and Bentley owners club (including vintage or rare models)
- spitfire fly past (not many of these planes left)

Airport Hotel Review: Alexander House, West Sussex, Uk

Our room: Treetops Suite

It's Curbappeal:
- stunning views of the countryside from our roll top bath
- good choice for a bit of luxury near Gatwick Airport
- nice pool and spa

Style rating: mixed

Crowd: a real mix. Mainly women on spa weekends. Lots of weddings. The odd couple.

Cuisine: breakfast: basic but tasty staples; dinner: fine dining at AGS grill room

Food rating: breakfast: ok ; Dinner: unbelievably good; we'd drive from London just to have dinner here. Just the food though - service was mixed.

The bill: ouch.

Recommended: a good option for a relaxing stay ahead of a flight out of Gatwick
